Construction of Eight Classrooms and Two Teachers’ Offices for Ufani Primary School

Some classes at Ufani Primary School were taught outdoors—or not at all, depending on the weather conditions.

The availability of just two usable classrooms for Ufani Primary School’s 230 students had meant that some classes were taught outdoors—or not at all, depending on the weather conditions—and therefore without desks for the students and without a blackboard. There were no offices in which teachers could meet with one another or with students, prepare for their classes, or grade homework. Karimu built eight classrooms and two teachers’ offices from the ground up.
