Purchase of Kindergarten Classroom for Ufani Primary School from Roman Catholic Diocese

Ufani Primary School had no kindergarten.

Absence of a kindergarten classroom had meant that kindergarten-age children either floundered in classes designed for older children, or simply did not attend school at all. The Roman Catholic Diocese had continued to maintain a building on the Ufani Primary School grounds since the time when the Diocese owned the entire property. Karimu purchased that building from the Diocese and converted it into the much-needed kindergarten classroom.

• Kindergarten enrollment increased (and the younger that children are when they start school, the more likely they are to continue)

• Kindergarten-age children already attending classes designed for older children began to receive age-appropriate education
