Installation of a Solar Panel at former Dareda Kati Dispensary

Lack of electricity is crippling to any attempt to provide good medical services.

The dispensary had no consistent electricity. Electricity was unreliable, preventing the safe refrigeration of immunizations, ability to use computers, lighting for medical procedures. Ed Glysson, Karimu volunteer, installed a solar suitcase donated by WeCare Solar at the local dispensary, addressing some of these problems. Now that the Maternity Center has been built, this former dispensary will be converted to housing for the medical staff.

Benefits:

  • Expansion of services due to safe refrigeration
